Courtney Aseltine brings a variety of experience to her role as a special education advocate. As a former educator and administrator, she has 8 years of public school experience. She has sat at the IEP table as an educator and understands the complicated workings of the special education system. Courtney believes that all children deserve an appropriate education, and that with the right services and supports, all children can thrive in school.
On a personal level, Courtney is the mother of a child who receives extensive special education services. Her youngest son was born Deaf and has also been diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other specific learning disabilities. She has been navigating the world of special education as a parent for 7 years and understands the intense emotion that comes with being a parent of special education student.
Courtney received her undergraduate degree in Communications from Boston University and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Salem State University. She completed the Board Certification in Advocacy for Special Education program through the National Association of Special Education Teachers, and is a member of both COPAA (Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates) and the Council for Exceptional Children, through which she continually trains and keeps up-to-date on issues in special education. In addition, she serves as a guardian ad litem for the North Carolina foster care system and serves on the board of directors for the Decibels Foundation.
Her educational experience provides her with strong communication skills and knowledge of language development, while her professional and personal experiences make her well-educated on the inner workings of the special educational system. Her combined experiences make her well-equipped to advocate for your child, and she will work tirelessly for their educational needs.

Meghan is a devoted special education advocate, educator, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst who brings her extensive experience and genuine passion to help families navigate the special education landscape. With over 14 years of hands-on experience as a Classroom Teacher, Behavior Analyst, and Program Specialist, Meghan has gathered a wealth of knowledge about the educational system. Her true calling lies in ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive in their learning environment, while also empowering families with the knowledge and skills to advocate for their children.
As a mother of two energetic boys, Meghan has gained invaluable insights into the educational system from a parent’s perspective. This dual experience has deepened her understanding of the challenges and intricacies involved in advocating for her own children and has enriched her ability to support other families.
Meghan’s educational journey began at the University of Redlands in Southern California, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies. She went on to complete her Master of Arts degree in Education with a specialization in Autism from San Diego State University. For the past decade, Meghan has been a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst, continuously updating her knowledge to stay abreast of the latest trends in Behavior Analysis. She is also an active member of COPAA (Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates), where she participates in ongoing training to remain informed about the evolving world of Special Education.
With a heartfelt commitment to advocating for students with special needs, Meghan ensures their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
